Ten pack of Birdseye Maple pen blanks. Approximate dimensions 3/4" square by 5" long. 

Coming from the Sugar Maple tree, this wood forms curls and clusters of pattern resembling a small bird's eye, hence the name. The light caramel colour is distinctive of curly maple and the bird's eye gives a flash of accent on the radiant light background of the wood. The pattern of knots are developed when a tree is unable to grow a new branch, and absorbs the stem into the body of the wood leaving unique markings and beautiful piece of art.
