Knife Scales<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Knife Scales Knife<\/a> scales are thin, pre-cut pieces of material (Micarta<\/a>, stabilized<\/a> or exotic wood<\/a>) that are used to create the handle of a knife. Knife scales are great for making blades with thinner handles, such as the 3\u201d Fillet Blade Kit<\/a>, and are lighter in weight than a traditional knife block, ultimately making your final knife lighter weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sleek finish is the final step in making your perfectly handcrafted knife kit, and William Wood-Write carries a variety of finishing compounds and systems to ensure your final product is as flawless as can be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pink Scratchless Polish<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This compound is perfect for the final finish on just about everything. It absolutely will not scratch and leaves an incredible hi-gloss finish on your nickel silver, brass, steel, wood or bone projects. Virtually any handle material or knife part will polish and shine to the most brilliant finish with Pink Scratchless Polish<\/a>. Supplied in a peel-away tube to keep free from contaminates, this finish comes in both 1.5lb and 3lb version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3-Step Lathe Buffing System<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Get a beautiful and a durable wax finish with this unique lathe-mounted polishing system. Buffing passes are made with a Tripoli buff (using the linen wheel), White Diamond buff (using the linen\/flannel wheel), then Carnuba wax (using the flannel wheel). The final finish is very similar to multiple coats of lacquer but is softer and much deeper, making the 3-Step Lathe Buffing System<\/a> a worthwhile investment for any woodworker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clapham\u2019s Food-Safe Finishes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We’re excited to announce we now carry a variety of food-safe finishes for your handcrafted projects! Clapham\u2019s Natural Beeswax Polish<\/a> comes in both 1.75oz and 7oz jars. Each 7oz jar covers approximately 400 square feet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clapham\u2019s is made from beeswax with a little carnauba wax and deodorized mineral spirit solvent. It is easy to use and gives a delightful shine on wood, stone, marble and concrete. Simply apply a little with a lint-free cotton cloth or bedsheet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The secret is to use the polish sparingly; apply it very thinly over the surface. Wait for about 5 minutes, and buff lightly with a different cotton cloth or sheet. If the wood is still dry, try a second and third application. Re-apply from time to time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
