This wood, also known as Chechen Rosewood, is found in Central America, the Caribbean and southeastern Mexico. Its color is varied: red, orange, and brown can contrast with darker stripes of blackish brown. Traditionally used in fine furniture, cabinetry, humidors and jewellery boxes.
