Cyanoacrylate (CA) glue comes in different thicknesses or viscosities, and the one you choose depends on what you want to do, from filing voids to gluing pen tubes into a blank. The higher the viscosity, the thicker the glue will be. You’ll find the viscosity rating of each glue we sell in the individual product descriptions.
Thin: a very liquid or low viscosity glue with excellent penetrating capabilities. Primarily used for hardening soft or punky woods that are otherwise too soft to work with. Can also be used as a finish.
Medium: a general-purpose glue.
Thick: Thick, high viscosity glue that is most commonly used to glue pen tubes into pen blanks. It easily fills any gaps between your pen tube and the inside of your pen blank, which helps prevent blowouts when turning.
Black: This glue is most often used to hiding imperfection, filling voids and accent specific areas in your projects.
When do I use epoxy?
Epoxy is great for project kits that require you to glue in a handle or when you’re making a knife handle. It gives you longer working time than CA glue and will tightly bond your pieces together.
