Pen Master stainless steel adjustable pen mandrel A/7 mm. For lathes with Morse Taper 1.
The mandrel easily adapts to different length projects. Simply mount your tubes and bushings then slide the shaft to the appropriate length and lock it in place. The shorter shaft reduces the likelihood of the mandrel shaft bowing. The collet is tightened with two wrenches (NOT included).
Replacement mandrel shaft with brass nut sold separately.
To minimize pressure on the mandrel shaft, consider using the mandrel with a mandrel saver that presses on the bushing rather than the end of the mandrel shaft. Note: if you're using the mandrel with a mandrel saver, you'll need to remove the brass nut.
