Premium pen mill bundle B. Inlcudes 1x premium 3/4" cutter head and wrench, and one each of the following premium pen mill shafts with cutting blade: 23/64, 10.5 mm, 31/64, 12.5 mm, 13.3 mm.
Also called a barrel trimmer or pilot shaft. An extremely useful tool used to square up the ends of your pen blanks after the brass tubes have been glued inside the pen blank. The long rod fits inside the tube (which acts as a support and guide) and allows you to cut away excess wood until you reach the edge of the brass pen tube.
These pilots have a 6.25 mm upper shaft that fits into the cutter head and will only fit the PREMIUM cutter heads sold by William Wood-Write Ltd. Will not fit the regular cutter heads sold on this site.
Tip: Insert the pilot shaft into the pen tube before turning on your drill press to avoid damaging the tube. If you damage the tube, the parts of your kit may not function properly.
