Project BLOCK Cabreuva - 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 6

Cabreuva project block. Approximate blank size 1-1/2" square by 6" long. 

Also known as Santos Mahogany, Cabreuva is found in southern Mexico, Central and South America. Colour variation ranges from a lighter golden brown to a darker purplish-red or burgundy. The color tends to turn more red/purple with age. Despite its name, Santos Mahogany is not related to true Mahogany and is typically much denser, harder, and stronger than true Mahogany. The wood has a distinct spicy scent when being worked.
