Project block Padauk. Approximate blank size 1-1/2" square by 6" long. 

Padauk comes from Central and West Africa and is often referred to as ‘Vermillion’ for its intense colour. The tropical tree tends to be a pale pink-orange colour when freshly cut, yet turns a rich red-brown when mature. Padauk has a straight grain and is relatively durable.
