Stabilized Spalted Guava pen blanks. Blanks measure minimum 3/4" x 3/4" x 5".
Guava is a fruit tree that is widely grown in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Its strong, durable wood is used for a wide range of applications, including woodworking, carpentry, and culinary (from meat smoking in Hawaii to roof trusses in Nigeria!). Easy to drill and turn - we recommend finishing with thin CA glue, micro mesh and a plastic polish for a smooth, high gloss shine.
The blank in the picture has been stabilized to make them easier to work with and sanded to show the figuring. Your blanks will be selected at random. The blank in the photograph is representative only. Some colour variability is to be expected - this is because different blanks have different densities that will affect how the wood absorbs resin. We do not offer refunds for colour variability within the blank or other slight internal imperfections.
